Projects

While every solar system is unique in its application and installation, there will also be variances
based on the size of each project. Residential customers have a much simpler installation than an
industrial or large commercial installation due to the system size only. Each different type of
installation has its own qualifications for grant reporting, utility interconnection and local code.

Large or small, residential or commercial, the team at Day & Night Solar can design and
implement any project.

Day & Night Solar Firsts

A Hotel Reaching New Solar Heights

In San Antonio, Day & Night Solar installed the highest solar system on the roof of a 13 story hotel.
Not only was this a first in engineering and application, but this provided the city of San Antonio
with a proven model to safely implement projects like this in the future.

Thirteen Story Rooftop Hotel Solar Energy System

There is a growing movement in the hotel industry to “go green”. According to the U.S.
Green Building Council (USGBC), green buildings use on aver age 26% less energy, emit
33% less carbon dioxide, use 30% less indoor water, and send 50-75% less solid waste
to landfills and incinerators. The benefits are many. Not only does implementing green
initiatives save money on energy and provide a cleaner and healthier environment, but
going green increases profits as more corporations and consumers choose green hotels
instead of those with no green initiative in place.

Not Just for Big Business

Day & Night Solar helped a religious center in the State of Illinois to be the first
to receive any type of grant for solar. As good stewards of the earth and with contributions
from their supporters, the religious center wanted to set the example and show its
congregation and community that big business wasn’t the only benefactor of the incentives
available in the solar market.

The Largest Installation in St. Louis

A national parts supplier was interested in the green movement and saw the opportunity
to take advantage of the solar incentives to ultimately reduce their costs long-term.
Working with the team at Day & Night Solar, the incentives were explained and the
size of the project was determined which included their three main buildings. Maximizing
these incentives would mean a project covering 18,000 square feet, totaling 350 kW and
using 850 of the largest 335 watt solar panels available.  This was Day & Night Solar’s
largest installation in St. Louis.
